How would you describe your experience with Go Figure?

Amazing! I’ve had so much support from my friends, family, the staff at Go Figure and my co-worker Lisa! It truly makes a difference to have people that back you up when you’re   having good weeks or bad!

What is your favorite program  friendly meal?

Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls:

Turkey burger, onion, garlic& cabbage. Season it like you  would when you make chili.  Best part: only one pan used!  Easy cleanup & perfect for Fall – my husband even loves it!

What are 3 of your favorite tips for success on the program?

  1. Be honest with yourself. If you eat off plan, acknowledge it and move on.
  2. Food log! I lost more weight when I kept better track of what I was eating.
  3. Go to the appointments every week! I have found that I hold myself more accountable when I know I have to go to my appointment at the end of the week.

 What impact has Go Figure had on you?

This program has completely changed the foods and the way I eat. It has allowed me to experiment with new recipes I probably would have never considered making. I enjoy cooking; I always have, so coming up with new recipes and tweaking them to adjust to the eating plan has been a lot of fun! Now I have some recipes I will make for the rest of my life!

What advice do you have for people considering the program?

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself! I slip every now and again but it doesn’t stop me from getting right back on track!

How would you describe your experience with Go Figure?

Excellent! All of the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. After the initial shock of changing how I eat, I feel this is one of the easiest, most beneficial lifestyle changes.

What is your favorite program friendly snack?

Old Wisconsin Turkey Sausage

 What are 3 of your favorite tips for success on the program?

  1. Don’t get overwhelmed.
  2. Have variety with your snacks so you don’t become bored with the same snack every day.
  3. Find support through friends, family and co-workers.

What impact has Go Figure had on you?

It is hard to believe that I was carrying around all that extra weight before. I can really notice the extra energy and self-confidence that I gained through this program.

What advice do you have for people considering the program?

Do it! This program is really designed for success. You will have bumps along the way, but if you keep your end goal in sight you are going to achieve the results that you are looking for.

We sat down with Angela this August to discuss her experience with Go Figure.

Here is what she had to say:

What has been the best part of doing the Go Figure program?

The best part of this program is how easy it is to maintain the weight loss! And how great I feel eating clean and healthy. It is such an easy program to follow.

 

What is your favorite program friendly snack?

My favorite meal is my protein smoothie in the morning. I add cinnamon and a little cocoa powder and it’s so delicious!

 

What are your favorite tips for following the program?

The best tips I have are: eat every few hours so you’re never hungry and to maintain energy. Keep a food log. Weigh yourself consistently. All of these things have helped me maintain my weight loss.

 

What impact has the program made on you?

It has changed my life! I feel healthy and confident! I finally know what to eat and how to eat smart. I know I will be able to keep all the weight off for the rest of my life on this program.

 

What advice do you have for people considering the program?

I focused on what I was going to do to maintain my weight loss before I even started the program. I didn’t focus on just reaching a goal of losing the weight. I’d always done that on diets I’d done in the past and never focused on the maintenance part. This has to be a lifestyle change in our mind, not just a diet.

David is a wonderful, cheerful and positive man whose love for life and positive attitude is infectious to anyone around him. It’s impossible to not have a smile on your face when David is in the room!

Here are David’s tips for success on the Go Figure Program:

1. Know your environment. Wherever you are, make sure you take advantage of what the area has to offer. If you are staying in a hotel, get up early and become a hall walker! If you can, get outside for a quick walk and enjoy the morning breeze.

2. Stay hydrated. Be sure to take water with you wherever you go!

3. Stick with your new “program friendly” habits. Whether you’re traveling or at home, make sure to stick to the eating and exercise habits that you have learned at Go Figure. Repeating the same thing everyday helps to create a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

4. If you start to gain weight, don’t get discouraged! Remember that, thanks to Go Figure, you know how to get it down. Simply follow the principles from the beginning of the program and get in for your weekly appointment as soon as possible!

Jana’s Story *

Over a year ago I had been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and had been suffering from weight gain as a result. I had tried all the fad diets to try to lose the extra pounds I’d put on, and of course I’d lose, I’d gain, I’d lose, then gain. When I got engaged last Thanksgiving, I was determined to look my best for my wedding. I’ve been on Go Figure for 12 weeks and have dropped over 40 lbs and at least 6 dress sizes!
